Warm and Boho-inspired custom Squarespace 7.1website
Tessa Lange is an Arizona-based natural light wedding photographer who shot over 200 weddings and has a lot of experience in the field. She came to Applet Studio to redesign her Squarespace website which had a gigantic archive of over 180 past photoshoots. Moving everything over from Squarespace 7.0 to 7.1 without hurting Tessa’s SEO was a challenge that we accepted.
We created a new brand identity for Tessa to reflect her warm and cheerful personality and highlight the quality of her work. We also worked together with Tessa to update her website copy and messaging.
The result is a Boho-inspired website that strategically walks the reader through Tessa’s best work and offerings.
Tessa is a versatile photographer, that is why we designed five different portfolio pages: Engagements, Weddings, Seniors, Family, Boudoir. One portfolio page would not simply be enough to showcase her work. Every portfolio page has Testimonials and CTAs that lead to the inquiry page to maximize the number of possible clients.
It was easy to work with Tessa in terms of photography since she has so many beautiful photogpraghs to illustrate her website with. The high-quality photos make the website visitors scroll to see more of her stunning work.

We start the process by creating a whole bunch of website concepts – Tessa chose a combination of all three concepts. So you can see the elements of all of them in the final work.
Style guide for Tessa June Photo. Boho color palette includes mustard yellow, peach pink, light pink, and warm brown. The font pair consists of a serif font for headings – Moret – and a sans serif font for subheadings and paragraphs – Sophia Pro. The contrast between the fonts is what makes the pair work so well together: while Moret has more character in it and partly serves as a decoration, Sophia Pro is a simpler font with easy readability.
