Janna Chin is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing virtual psychotherapy to adults across California. She came to us with a clear brief and a specific commercial goal: she was launching The Healing Heart Membership, a four- and six-month therapy program, and needed a website that would attract committed clients ready to invest in that level of care.

She booked one of our template setup services and chose our Squarespace template Bento as the foundation. The project grew well beyond a standard setup — six therapy modality pages, a full membership sales page, and a complete content architecture built around a single conversion goal.

Palette and Visual Identity

Janna's initial brief contained a genuinely difficult requirement: feminine enough to feel warm, neutral enough for men, elevated enough for affluent clients. Most therapy websites solve this by going beige and disappearing.

We built the palette around dusty rose, blush, and mauve, set against warm white and cream, with headings in a deep wine burgundy. The burgundy is what keeps the softness from tipping into sweetness — it gives the site weight and seriousness, which matters when the core offer is a commitment.

Imagery follows the light-and-airy direction throughout: cherry blossoms, soft morning light, stacked stones, figures walking toward sunrises. It's consistent enough to work as a visual language rather than decoration, and it never competes with the copy. Janna's own portraits anchor the Home and About pages, giving the practice a face.

The Paths to Healing System

Janna practices six modalities: EMDR, CBT, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness, and Brainspotting. Presenting all six without overwhelming a first-time visitor was the main structural challenge of the project.

The solution was a two-tier system. On the homepage, four modalities appear as a card carousel with their clinical names translated into outcome language — EMDR becomes Heal Trauma and Emotional Wounds, CBT becomes Transform Unhelpful Patterns, Somatic becomes Reconnect Mind and Body, IFS becomes Find Inner Harmony. Each links through to a full page under a Paths to Healing dropdown.

Every modality page shares the same architecture: a plain-language explanation, a "you may benefit from this if…" checklist, a list of what changes, and a consultation CTA. One repeatable structure across six pages keeps the site cohesive, makes it easy for Janna to extend later, and gives her real SEO surface area for each modality she practices.

The Membership Page

The Therapy and Memberships page is where the business model lives, and it needed to do the heaviest lifting on the site.

Three tiers are presented side by side — a single session, a four-month program, and a six-month program — with per-session cost shown alongside total savings so the value is palpable.

The Outcome

What Janna has now is a site with a single clear ask — book a complimentary consultation — and every page earning its way toward it. The soft, elegant surface does exactly what the brief asked: it signals warmth and safety while reading as expensive.

Bento's clean modular structure gave that clarity somewhere to sit, and the template's flexibility made room for a scope that grew well past its original brief.
