Composed Squarespace Website for a Psychotherapist

Bridgett Bollin, LCSW

Bridgett Bollin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Center City Philadelphia, seeing clients in person and virtually across Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Florida. She’s moving from a group practice to a solo one, and needed a site of her own to make that move with. She opted for our template customization service, and we set her site up from our Squarespace Template Linea and tailored it to her practice.

Bridgett asked for something classic and refined, navy, deep green, brown, that would read as expertise and depth and wouldn’t skew feminine, since her clients are men and women in roughly equal measure. The site runs on deep navy with warm cream and soft taupe.

That brief is a useful constraint. A lot of therapy websites default to soft neutrals and blush tones that quietly narrow who feels addressed. Navy doesn’t. It also suits the kind of work she does, which is long-term and insight-oriented rather than short-term symptom relief, and the colour signals that before anyone reads a word. The navy carries the full-width bands, the buttons, the FAQ rows, and the offset blocks behind her portraits, which keeps the structure legible as you scroll without heavy dividers.

The most distinctive decision on the site is the photography. Every page hero runs in black and white: a woman reading, a portrait over coffee, a figure half-turned away. Bridgett’s own photographs stay in colour, so she stands out against the monochrome around her.

It solves a real problem in this niche. Therapy has nothing to photograph, and images of people mid-session tend to read as either staged or intrusive. Monochrome portraits of people reading and thinking stay quiet and open-ended, suggesting the interior quality of the work without illustrating it.

The Services page is made of alternating split sections: text on one side and a large image on the other, flipping with each one. Individual Therapy, Psychoanalysis, and Supervision / Case Consultation each get a row on the overview page and then a full page of their own built from the same pattern. The photography in those rows is all still life, in colour: candles and a notebook, a plant beside a stack of books, forget-me-nots in a blue cup. Domestic and warm. Set against the monochrome heroes it gives every page a two-part rhythm, cool at the top and softening as you go down.

Smaller details do quiet work throughout. A handwritten script line sits beside the homepage headline and again on the About page, flagging that the practice is virtual without needing a banner to say so. A scrolling navy marquee divides each service hero from the content below. And a three-column card grid plus an FAQ accordion sit on every service page, which for a practice that fields the same practical questions repeatedly (fees, frequency, what psychoanalysis actually involves) is one of the more useful things to have built in.

The result is a site that matches how Bridgett describes her own work: attentive, unhurried, and more interested in understanding than in quick answers.
