Organic Squarespace Website for an Educational Organization
Evolve
Evolve is a consultancy that helps school districts combine different student support programs into one easy-to-manage system that their own staff can run long-term. Their website, built based on our Squarespace Template Fidelity, is a prime example of "educational corporate" styling, where professional authority and an approachable feel are perfectly balanced.
The site uses a Z-pattern and F-pattern layouts for scanning, but it’s the variety of containers that keeps it interesting. In addition to a number of symmetrical sections, the designer used asymmetrical shapes, "blob-like" masks for photos, and background accents. This trick breaks up the rigidity of the grid and mirrors the organic nature of school systems.
The website uses a rich and earthy palette that moves away from the bright primary colors often associated with the public education system. These colors give the design a more mature, systemic look. Deep forest green and navy blue evoke stability, growth, and trust. A vibrant burnt orange is used strategically for call-to-action buttons and key highlights, providing a warm "pop" that draws the eye without being aggressive. Cream backgrounds make the site feel warm and easier on the eyes than the usual white, suggesting a more human, less clinical approach. Secondary accents like muted sage and ochre are used in icons and decorative shapes to maintain the organic, grounded theme.
The heavy weight of the headlines gives the organization a foundational and authoritative voice. The clean and legible body copy helps to get through the dense text.
Almost every photo features human interaction – teachers collaborating, students engaged, or leaders talking, to reinforce their humanistic approach.
All the photos have a slight warmth to them that matches the brand palette, creating a cohesive visual experience across all pages.
By combining professional photography with hand-drawn organic shapes and earthy colors, the site avoids looking like a cold software company. It feels consultancy-professional, but warm enough for a classroom teacher.
