Striking Squarespace Website for a Creative Studio

MIINC

MIINC is a UK-based female-led creative studio. It provides thoughtful and innovative services for dynamic entrepreneurs and creators. MIINC is most passionate about shaping brands, ideas and concepts. The woman behind the business is Michaela – a founder and creative consultant.

Michaela chose our Squarespace Template Lora as a starting point for her studio’s DIY website. Lora has a strong feminist vibe about it and is a great choice for businesses run by women.

Michaela totally nailed the split sections – the signature layout of the original template by populating them with the right amount of text and contrasting pictures. As a result, first screens of every page look bold and juicy.

She swapped the muddy yellow accent color of Lora template with vivid terracotta while leaving black, ivory, and white colors untouched. This preserved the logic of the color scheme and made the customization easy, while radically changing the look.

Following the tutorial and using the Figma assets we provide with every Squarespace template, Michaela customized collages with her own pictures. She has also added many great portraits of herself to the website, as well as some gifs for a more dynamic look.

On her service page, Michaela achieved easy navigation by using our anchor links to jump to different sections of a long scrolling page.

She has also added a few scrolling blocks to the website herself, and they totally work in the mood of the Lora template. The scrolling text feature was introduced by Squarespace after we launched Lora, but it is an easy thing to add if customers want it on their websites.

Michaela customized the freebie section with pictures of her guide. These sections scattered around the website can help a lot in growing your email list. Learn how to set up freebie sections in Squarespace and even marry them with the email platform of your choice in the tutorial in our blog.
